Lot Carlier (1970) has worked in the publishing sector from 1996 to 2008, during which period the primary process of this sector substantially changed from print to multimedia. Lot is a very experienced manager, having managed many diverse teams focusing on different platforms, e.g. newspapers, magazines and websites, communities and mobile initiatives and covering all functionalities, from sales to editors. During her years as a business consultant to the Board of VNU, she was involved in the acquisition and divestitures of multiple companies, both as merger and acquisition expert and as a strategic consultant. After that Lot was involved as free-lancer in a number of assignments, among others as Strategy Director at OMG, an online marketing organization, prior to co-founding Africa Media Ventures Fund in 2010. She is currently acting as a board member of Voices of Africa Media Foundation.
Lot is specialized in strategy creation and the building of strong teams in moments of change. She loves working under demanding circumstances and in companies where creative thinking is expected..

Pim de Wit (1952) has a long (life) time experience in off and on line media. During his career he initiated many new successful publishing activities and contributed substantially to VNU’s entry in the online world by timely acquiring start up companies like ilse media (nu.nl) and startpagina.nl. After his departure as CEO and chairman of Sanoma Magazines in 2005 he took the initiative to establish Africa Interactive, a fast growing press and content agency with a network of over 3.000 reporters in more than 40 African countries. He is also founder and managing director of The Voices of Africa Media Foundation.
